TNS opens private IP network to ATM industry

October 9, 2001

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 10, 2001 -Transaction Network Services(TNS) today announced it is opening its private IP-based network to the ATM industry and offering two new products: TNS Connect and TransXpress Connect.

TNS Connect is a dedicated, private IP-based network that facilitates transactions among ATMs and processor hosts while adhering to the highest security standards.

TransXpress Connect allows companies to plug their older ATMs into TNS' IP-based network without incurring commonly high costs related to legacy hardware and software upgrades.

Larry Crompton, senior vice president and general manager of the TNS Point Of Services Division, said, "TNS Connect is the foundation our industry needs to take a giant-step forward in upgrading the network infrastructure. Both our customers and the public stand to benefit greatly from our offering."

TNS is exhibiting at ATMIA West 2001, running from October 9-11 at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas.
