TMD Security debuts new suite of ATM defenses

TMD Security has announced the introduction of its new ATM Security Controller 7000, a single modular solution architecture that controls a complete suite of defenses against card fraud, logical threats and physical attacks.

The company also has introduced what it describes as the ATM industry’s first integrated keyless access control technology for the ATM top box, safe, branch and secure room doors will also be demonstrated.

"ATM deployers, CIT companies and service providers have told us they need to save money and improve efficiency while also maximizing ATM availability," Tom Moore, executive vice president and managing director of TMD Security Americas, said in the release. "TMD Access Control Technology helps them achieve all this with fast and cost-effective automated remote access management with audit trail, using secure one-time-codes sent via a mobile device instead of physical keys."

TMD Security will demo both of the new introductions this week at the ATMIA US 2019 conference in Orlando. The company also will display its new Tamper Switch for Card Protection Plate on display. 

The Tamper Switch checks that the TMD Card Protection Plate is positioned inside the card reader, filling the space so that deep insert skimming and shimming are not possible.
