MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. has purchased the assets of Toronto-based eStation Networks Inc., including its wholly owned subsidiary, E-Cash Services Inc., a national private label ATM operator, according to a news release.
The E-Cash network is comprised of approximately 370 full-service turnkey ATMs, deployed in Canadian retail locations.
Ontario-based Threshold, a wholly owned subsidiary of Versent Corp., provides outsourced transaction switching, ATM management services and turnkey ATM solutions to financial institutions and retailers. Threshold also owns and operates a nationwide private-label ATM network, Laser Cash.
With the acquisition of E-Cash, Threshold's ATM network will exceed 1,400 units, making Threshold one of largest operators of full-service ATMs in Canada.
"We are very excited about this acquisition," said Matthew McIver, president of Threshold, in a news release. "There is a strong synergy between the E-Cash ATM operation and our existing business. E-Cash clients will benefit from Threshold's financial stability and its extensive experience in providing high-quality, full-service ATM solutions."
