Thieves net $500,000 in ATM scam in NYC

FoxNews.com:A sophisticated band of thieves managed to steal personal information and more than half a million dollars from hundreds of New York City bank customers by rigging ATMs with skimmers to steal personal data. Police said the identity thieves installed devices on ATMs at Sovereign Bank branches in Staten Island that enabled them to collect account numbers and PINs from some 250 ATM users, the New York Daily News reported Monday.
