TD Bank serves up a memorable, multichannel 'thank you' to customers

In addition to phone, online and branch giveaways, the FI created some spectacular surprises for selected customers at the 'automated thanking machine.'

At exactly 2 p.m. EST last Friday, thousands TD Canada Trust employees presented green envelopes containing a $20 bill to every customer in more than 1,100 TD branches. And at that very time, customers using the FI's phone and online banking service were told that they would receive a deposit directly into their account.

But most remarkably, in-branch ATMs ("automated thanking machines") created individualized, life-changing moments for selected regular customers.

"We know Canadians have a lot of choice when it comes to where they bank, and we wanted to say that we appreciate that they continue to choose TD," said Tim Hockey, president and CEO of TD Canada Trust.
