Target, Cardtronics re-up for the long term

Under a renewed agreement, Cardtronics will continue to serve as the exclusive provider of ATM services for nearly 1,800 Target stores in the US.

Cardtronics Inc. has announced the renewal of its ATM services agreement with Target Corp. Under the renewed agreement, the Houston, Texas-based IAD will continue to serve as the exclusive provider of ATM services for Target stores in the United States.  

The long-term renewal, extends a relationship between the two companies that began in 2001, according to a press release. Cardtronics currently owns and operates approximately 1,800 ATMs at Target stores across the national.

All Target locations participate in the surcharge-free Allpoint Network, which is owned by Cardtronics. Portions of portfolio are available for branding by financial institutions, as well, the company said.

"Cardtronics' renewed relationship with Target builds on nearly 15 years of success," said David Dove, president of the company's North American business group. "We are pleased to continue this partnership and proud to be selected by Target to provide convenient cash access to their customers."
