Taoglas launches 2x2 MIMO 4G LTE antennas for M2M Market

The external, adhesive-mount antennas allow for easy installation in ATMs and kiosks, the manufacturer says.

Taoglas USA Inc., a provider of antenna solutions to the M2M market has launched two new high-performance 2x2 LTE MIMO antennas, according to a press release.

The new Genesis MA240 and MA241 antennas support full global cellular 3G and 4G LTE coverage; the MA240 also supports GNSS. The external, adhesive-mount antennas allow for easy installation in ATMs and kiosks, the release said.

"The Genesis antennas are an innovative solution for transportation and remote monitoring," said Dermot O'Shea, president of Taoglas USA. "They are ideally suited to vendors that can't use a through-hole-mounted antenna for security reasons but still need to be connected to the 4G LTE network. They are also well-suited to the business continuity market for industry applications that can't afford a minute of down time."

The Genesis antennas offer the high efficiency and gain required to support signal-to-noise ratios and throughput demands for high-speed data uplink and downlink.

The antennas meet isolation and envelope correlation co-efficient guidelines to maximize MIMO radio throughput, and include high-quality, low-loss cables for high-quality transmission, reception, throughput and speed.
