ATLANTA - A survey conducted by Synergistics Research Corp. reveals that 93 percent of consumers believe it's too easy for criminals to misuse their identification. Driver's licenses, Social Security numbers and credit cards were among the identification sources of weakness.
The survey included input from 1,000 adult Internet users and was conducted to evaluate consumer reaction to biometric-identification methods.
Theft and fraud were identified as serious concerns.
