Sterling ATM moves into a new facility as ATM surrounds business grows

April 27, 2011

Sterling ATM, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of ATM surrounds, recently purchased a new building to support the company’s growing business.

The 58,000 square-foot facility, which is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, houses Sterling ATM’s manufacturing, product development, research and development and administrative offices, said Jim VanderMale, managing director of Sterling Retail, a division of Sterling ATM. Seventy workers are employed in the new facility.

Sterling ATM, which has its headquarters in Salt Lake City, moved into the building after it had outgrown other facilities the company had been renting. Sterling ATM makes ATM surrounds for Bank of America, SunTrust Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Capital One Bank.

A privately held company, Sterling does not disclose annual shipments or sales figures, but VanderMale said the business has experienced double-digit growth over the last three years and the move into the new building doubles production capacity. The company manufactures all of its ATM surrounds internally. Sterling Retail is based in Dover, N.H.
