Source Technologies, a provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions, has enhanced its personal teller machine to include proximity sensing and the ability to prestage transactions.
According to a press release, the company is using mobile technology to allow retail banking customers to prestage self-service transactions, creating convenient, secure interaction between a customer's mobile device and the institution's Personal Teller Machine.
Additionally, in order to speed up transaction times, the kiosk uses proximity sensors to detect when a customer approaches. The sensors provide additional safety measures on the back-end as the customer departs after completing a transaction.
The company said its PTM self-service terminal was built to integrate with a financial institution's core system. The device features a configurable interface that allows a financial institution to determine which self-service transactions make the most sense for the FI.
