February 14, 2010
Solvport is transitioning its fleet of ATM-service vehicles to more fuel-efficient alternatives.
According to a news release from Solvport, the company expects to convert 90 of its vehicles over the next two years to the 2010 Ford Transit Connect. Solvport estimates the move will cut fuel consumption by 60,000 gallons. The new service vehicle will be featured this week during the ATM Industry Association show in Miami.
"With anticipated higher energy costs in 2010 and 2011, we made a strategic decision to switch our nationwide fleet of service vehicles to a model that provides more fuel economy," said Gary Cosmer, Solvport's president and CEO.
