Should the ATM industry stay with Microsoft OS? Take the survey

A short survey asks whether the industry should migrate ATMs to a new Microsoft OS in 2020 ... or find a better alternative.

Is this year's upgrade to the next iteration of the Windows operating system worth repeating in 2020 when Microsoft ends support for Windows 7 on ATMs? Or is it perhaps time for the ATM industry to look elsewhere for a secure and reliable, longer-lived and more affordable alternative?

The ATM Industry Association wants to know what you think, and is asking all ATM industry members to take ten minutes to complete an important survey to determine the level of interest in possible future migration to non-Microsoft operating systems.

ATMIA is researching the dynamics and costs of migrations to new operating systems with a view to making recommendations for the lead-up to 2020 end of support for Windows 7 OS in 2020.
