S&G A-Series ATM access management system gets an upgrade

Stanley Security, a provider of access control and integrated security solutions, has announced updates to the Sargent & Greenleaf A-Series ATM access management system. The A-Series ATM locking system manages multi-vendor access to the ATM using time-limited single-use codes and electronic keys.

Updates to the A-Series technology include firmware and software improvements, as well as an Android mobile app to be released by the end of the year. The A-Series "Field Service App" is designed to be used by field technicians for troubleshooting by reading and programming keys.

According to a Stanley news release, enabling authorized personnel to quickly analyze lock settings and make adjustments to the lock will reduce downtime that ATM operators who use OTC locks can experience while waiting for keys to ship to a branch software system and back.

Other features of the upgraded A-Series ATM access management system include:

• multiple authentications for greater access control — including a 4-digit PIN unique to the user, an assigned touch key and a valid one-time-use code generated by the system software;
• improved one-time-codes that expire if not used within the operator-specified time window — significantly reducing risk of theft;
• easy retrofits to existing and new ATMs — fewer parts and no spindle-cutting speed up installation and reduce installation errors;
• no need to enter a close code into the system software before generating a new code for the lock, saving time and eliminating the risk of out-of-sync codes;
• no vendor meets required when assigning service mode access rights and changing service providers — secure file transfers facilitate ATM access authorizations, saving time and money while allowing greater control of subcontractor access; and
• multi-language software that allows end-users to select from one of the standard languages, or translate lock management software screens into any other language using the LMS custom translator feature.
