TOKYO -- Seven-Eleven Japan Co. is working with Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Asahi Bank, Sanwa Bank and Sakura Bank to install compact ATMs in its convenience stores starting in fall 2000, company officials said.
According to Nikkei America, the machines will be accessible year-round 24 hours a day and have lower transaction fees than existing ATMs at bank branches.
Although the four city banks will be the only ones to operate the nationwide network, leading regional banks will be invited to sign on as well.
