Seiko Instruments taps sales veteran to lead Americas

TORRANCE, Calif. — Seiko Instruments USA Inc., Thermal Printer Division, has named Kazuhisa "Kaz" Onishi vice president and general manager with overall responsibility for the Americas. A proven executive with a track record of success, Onishi previously served as general manager of sales and marketing for Seiko Instruments Print Systems Division in Japan, where he achieved 100 percent worldwide revenue growth during his six year tenure.
 
Onishi will oversee the execution of SIU Thermal Printer Division's strategy to leverage global dominance in thermal printer technology and expand business across targeted sectors, including healthcare, self-service, mobile workforce, government and retail and hospitality.
 
"Mr. Onishi brings a strong technical foundation and extensive experience working with key distributors, resellers, and sophisticated OEM customers," said Akira Yamamoto, president of Seiko Instruments USA. "With his capabilities and record of achievement in executing the right business strategy, I believe he will help lead this organization to greater success in the Americas."
