BIRMINGHAM, Ala., and LEAWOOD, Kan. - Retailing giant Saks Inc. has hired Euronet Worldwide to deploy ATMs at its stores in nine states in the South and Midwest.
Euronet will coordinate all installations, provide transaction processing and settlement services for 24 retail stores in five Saks Department Store Group divisions. A Saks official said he expects the new machines to eventually perform other services, including advertising Saks' products, dispensing coupons and offering cash advances on store credit cards.
Euronet, a global provider of financial transaction solutions that operates in 60 countries, owns and operates the largest independent ATM network in Europe.
