AK BARS Bank and Safensoft have announced the recent completion of PCI DSS recertification at the bank using SafenSoft information security solutions.

This is the fourth year in a row that the bank has achieved compliance, but the first year that its ATM and POS networks also have been included in the certification. In fact, it is the first such certification in Russian payments history, according to a news release from Safensoft. "We develop[ed] the product [by applying] PCI DSS standards and requirements of the Central Bank of Russia towards the banking systems security," said Stanislav Shevchenko, CTO of SafenSoft. " AK BARS Bank’s approach to security doesn’t allow for just the formal compliance, so the system we helped to create assures the maximal protect of bank’s data and personal information of its clients."
