Russian bank orders more BANQIT ATMs

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Russia's Sberbak, which has deployed more than 900 BANQITQ-Cash ATMs, has placed an order for more than 300 additional ATMs.

According to a news release, BANQIT and its Russian reseller SmartCard-Service are the leading ATM supplier to Sberbank, which is one of the world's largest banks with some 20,000 branches that handle about 80 percent of all individuals' banking accounts in Russia.   

SmartCard's general director said in the release, "The bank customers particularly appreciate the intuitive user interface and the privacy provided by the recessed card reader and the recessed PIN keyboard."
