'Robocoin 2.0' Bitcoin ATM adds money transfer feature

Bitcoin ATM-maker Robocoin has rolled out its latest model — "Robocoin 2.0." The device features updated software and the facility for instant money transfers.

The new transfer feature allows a Bitcoin accountholder to send money using only the recipient’s phone number or email address. The recipient can withdraw money from their nearest Robocoin ATM, even without a Bitcoin account, according to CoinDesk.

The 2.0 release includes two models:

• the base-model Robocoin Recycler, which holds up to 1,900 notes and sells for $20,000; and
• the Recycler Max, which features a 100-note batch acceptor, 8,300 banknote capacity, and 6,000 note recycling capability. It sells for $35,000.

The machines comply with AML and KYC regulations, the report said.
