Retail group sues MasterCard, Visa

Datamonitor: Four major merchant associations have filed an antitrust, class-action lawsuit against most of the major credit card issuers in the United States over allegations of collusive behavior regarding interchange fees. The retail group representatives have issued proceedings in New York alleging that Visa, MasterCard and several banks are engaging in collusive practices by setting credit card interchange fees at supercompetitive levels.
