CHICAGO - The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI) announced a name change for its Remittance Processing Council. The industry group will be called the Payments Capture & Clearing Council. According to a news release, the name was changed to better reflect the council's focus on broader payments processes.
The mission of the council is to identify, understand and contribute to the development of payment processing that will benefit the future direction of remittance-processing operations.
"From its inception, TAWPI's Remittance Processing Council has offered guidance during an exciting time in payments processing," TAWPI president Frank Moran said. "This name change better reflects the council's involvement in all that's involved in modern transactions. The changes in payments and remittance processing are only going to continue."
PCC will continue to educate its members about the latest issues in payment processing through mediums and forums that include industry research, specialty white papers, Web presentations, educational and training materials, and interactive meetings.
