Remitco to use Wausau enterprise-remittance platform

May 7, 2006

MOSINEE, Wis. - First Data Corp.'s Remitco unit, the nation's largest processors of retail-lockbox payments, has signed a deal with Wausau Financial Systems to implement an enterprise remittance-solution platform at the company. According to a news release, Wausau is the exclusive provider.

Wausau's ImageRPS platform is expected to standardize the payment processing platform at Remitco's eight retail-lockbox locations. The enterprise-wide remittance platform includes the ImageRPS solution's accounts-receivable-conversion decisioning interface and image-cash-letter capabilities.

"We see tremendous advantages in standardizing our lockbox processing with one partner," Remitco president Scott Dickey said. "Remitco and Wausau have shared a very successful relationship over the last three years and we feel this strategic move to standardize on one platform will position us for further volume and profitability growth."
