POPin Video Banking Collaboration, an interactive mobile video banking solution, announced it has changed its name to POPio Mobile Video Cloud. The change reflects the company's evolution as a platform for providing point-of-purchase experiences that consumers can easily move in and out of, seamlessly blending physical and digital interactions across all channels via the mobile video cloud.
"Mobile and video technology working together is the future of financial services," Gene Pranger, POPio Mobile Video Cloud founder and CEO, said in a press release.
Pranger created the concept of video banking in 2008, and developed POPio as the completion of that vision. "With POPio, we're taking hold of that future, allowing consumers to touch base with financial experts entirely at their convenience — to pop 'in' and 'out' — whenever and wherever they choose," he said.
POPio Mobile Video Cloud merges face-to-face video chat with real-time digital collaboration between customers and financial representatives.
This allows customers to access branch services and complete nearly all banking needs through the mobile video cloud and from personal mobile devices — including document approvals and applications, ID verifications, consultations and more — removing the need for either party to be in a physical branch or office.
