Phoenix Interactive CEO named 'Woman Entrepreneur'
December 13, 2006
LONDON, Ontario - Kyle MacDonald, chief executive of Phoenix Interactive Design Inc., has been named Canadian Woman Entrepreneur by The Royal Bank of Canada.
According to a news release, the award recognizes outstanding female entrepreneurs who make important contributions to the Canadian economy.
"Tonight's winners all share a strong vision and a relentless passion in pursuing their dreams," said Jim Westlake of RBC during the Nov. 21 awards ceremony. "They have influenced and benefited our economy through hard work and resolve; but more importantly, I believe they have become positive role models for the young women of today."
To qualify for the award, recipients must have a profitable global business that has shown increased sales.
MacDonald earned the award because of Phoenix Interactive's successful growth and ability to compete on a global scale against multinational, multibillion dollar corporations in the ATM software space.
