Pen Air FCU, NCR expand relationship

Pen Air Federal Credit Union, based in Pensacola, Florida, recently expanded its relationship with NCR Corp. with the selection of Digital Insight, an NCR company, to power its digital banking channel. The credit union currently uses NCR Interactive Teller Machines (which incorporate DI technology) in its branches and now will use online and mobile banking solutions from Digital Insight, as well, according to an NCR press release.

“We are very focused on the member experience and believe that Digital Insight will greatly enhance that while continuing to be on the forefront of the digital banking curve,” said Mark Brewer, CIO of Pen Air. “We are equally excited about the potential to leverage the synergies between Digital Insight and our deployed NCR ITMs ... [O]ur members will not only benefit from increased functionality, but they will also enjoy rewards and ease of use across all digital channels.”

The Digital Insight platform, powered by a services-oriented architecture, allows FIs to develop and integrate new content, personalize the customer experience and differentiate the brand. The company enjoys a 4.6 star rating on the Apple App Store and, according to an independent industry expert, powers eight of the top 10-rated banking apps, the release said.
