PCI SSC aims to improve payment security through assessor roundtable

The PCI Security Standards Council has announced the first PCI SSC Global Executive Assessor Roundtable. The roundtable will be an executive committee-level advisory board comprised of senior executives from PCI assessor companies.

"We are thrilled to launch this exciting new initiative," PCI SSC Executive Director Lance J. Johnson said in a press release. "The council depends on the input of a wide range of stakeholders and the assessor community is a critical group to the future of payment security. The Global Executive Assessor Roundtable will provide the PCI SSC with valuable insights for our efforts to improve data payment security around the globe."

Roundtable members are from organizations that include:

The PCI SSC works with organizations around the world to help secure payment data, and trains and qualifies thousands of assessors every year that help ensure the correct adoption and implementation of the PCI Security Standards.

"The new Global Executive Assessor Roundtable brings together senior leaders of assessor companies with insights from different regions of the world and experience on a wide variety of PCI assessor programs," PCI SSC Chief Operating Officer Mauro Lance said. "We look forward to working with them and leverage their feedback to improve our standards and programs."
