Payments platform provider HPS sets sights on US market

March 7, 2018

HPS, a Casablanca, Morocco-based provider of electronic payment solutions for financial institutions, card processors, merchant acquirers, independent sales organizations, and national and regional switches around the world, has announced plans to expand its PowerCard customer base in the U.S.

PowerCard is a fully integrated issuing, acquiring, switching and chargeback dispute platform that allows licensing organizations to take control of payment processing, saving time and money while increasing business valuation, the company said in a press release. PowerCard supports all international payment networks and more than 35 domestic schemes around the world, according to the release.

To spearhead the company's expansion in the U.S., the company has hired industry veteran Michael J. Dooley as U.S. sales and marketing director.

"PowerCard gives U.S. merchant acquirers and ISOs the power to take control of their operations and benefit from superior technology, reduced expense and increased valuation," Dooley said in the release. "It is this aspect of control that drives organizations to move to in-house technology or replace legacy platforms. I am honored to join HPS … to lead the U.S. effort."

Currently, HPS serves more than 350 users in more than 85 countries across five continents, the release said.
