September 15, 2003

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Shipley Stores, the owner and operator of 33 Tom's Convenience Stores across central and eastern Pennsylvania, has purchased 24 ATMs and processing services from eFunds Corporation's (Nasdaq: EFDS) Access Cash subsidiary.

"Retailers are increasingly looking for ways to improve the customer experience while increasing revenue for their retail locations," said David McCrary, vice president of National Sales, eFunds' ATM Division, in a news release. "Shipley Stores is a great example of how a retail business model and ATM technology can work hand-in-hand."

Patty Manifold, executive assistant, Shipley Stores, said, "Our partnership with eFunds will allow us to extend instant cash access to our customers, potentially generating higher margins at the store level."
