OneUnited Bank intros surcharge-free ATM Empowerment Network

OneUnited Bank, the largest Black-owned bank in the U.S., has introduced its Empowerment Network, which provides more than 10,000 surcharge free ATMs at Chase and Citibank branches and retailers such as Walgreens, Target, CVS and Costco, according to a press release.

This network also provides the Card Command, which customers can use to turn on or off their debit cards, set real-time transaction notifications, add the card to their digital wallet or set spending limits, according to the release.

"We listened to our customers who want better access and more control over their money," Teri Williams, president and COO of OneUnited Bank, said in the release. "We're proud to make history by offering the Empowerment Network, the nation's largest surcharge free ATM network, while also providing better card controls through OneUnited Card Command. Quite frankly, we're elevating the BankBlack Movement by offering best-in-class services and state-of-the-art technology to better meet customer needs."
