TOKYO (Nikkei)--Oki Electric Industry Co. began marketing a compact ATM designed for convenience stores and supermarkets, according to the Nikkei Industrial Daily.
The machine, which takes up 40% less space than conventional ATMs located at banks, runs Microsoft Corp.'s Windows NT operating system and has a 15-inch touch-screen display. In addition to providing
regular ATM functions, certain models allow users to purchase tickets to events or pay utility bills.
