NYC public advocate calls for boycott of cashless businesses at Hudson Yards

New York's Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is calling on consumers to boycott cashless retail stores and restaurants at the city's newly opened Hudson Yards retail development.

Hudson Yards is home to dozens of well-known and high-end retail shops and eateries.

Williams claims that cashless eateries at Hudson Yards reflect the fact that the upscale development wasn’t built for the city’s majority, according to an AM NY report.

"People should stop eating at places that are cashless," Williams said during a press event, the report said.
