November 17, 2003

NEW ORLEANS - Among the ATMs shown by NexTran at its first-ever Retail Delivery Conference and Expo in New Orleans this week is its Comnet 8000, which it calls "the future of ATM technology."

Standard features of the PC-based Comnet 8000 include a Level 1 safe, audio capability, a 12.7-inch color touchscreen and a Kaba Mas electronic lock. It offers up to four cassettes with a capacity of 3,000 notes each.

According to a news release, optional features include an envelope depository, check reader, statement printer, cash acceptor, money order printer and built-in camera for security.

NexTran also will exhibit its Comnet 1000, a countertop ATM that separates the vault compartment from the control unit. This feature, which is not present in other countertop models, qualifies the Comnet 1000 for armored cash replenishment.

Standard features of the Windows 2000-based Comnet 1000 include a 10-inch color touchscreen and 2,000-note capacity cassette.

The Comnet 8000, Comnet 1000 and other NexTran products and services will be on display in booth #115 -1161.
