The ATM Industry Association today announced the publication of its study of international trends in bank branch transformation, according to a news release.
"'Best Practice in Branch Transformation' offers an inside look at trends in 21st century bank branch strategies to meet the challenges of multichannel convergence in our era of customer-owned devices coexisting with traditional self-service terminals and rapidly changing branches," said ATMIA CEO Mike Lee.
The detailed manual was written by international banking consultant David Cavell, and covers topics that include:
Research has confirmed the continued growth of the global branch network, and support from all age demographics for branch banking. However, it also has revealed that, so far, the approach to branch transformation has been variable, the release said.
"ATMIA felt there was a need to make recommendations at an international level so banks can optimize their transformational strategies going forward," Lee said. "David Cavell has excelled in his technologically, operationally and theoretically sound approach, and banks will find much wisdom in these pages."
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
