New England credit union signs ATM processing agreement with Co-Op Network

April 27, 2004

ONTARIO, Calif. - Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), which has used Co-Op Network for surcharge-free ATM access since 1998, has signed an agreement that expands its services with Co-Op to include full EFT processing.

In addition to continuing to supply DCU's more than 218,000 members with access to 18,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, Co-Op Network will now be processing and switching all of DCU's ATM transactions.

Craig Roy, vice president of Support Services for DCU called the agreement "a natural progression in our relationship with Co-Op Network."

"The DCU processing agreement with another vendor recently expired, and one of the major reasons we turned to Co-Op Network is our organization's share similar ideals and values: They're a network owned by credit unions, and we're a credit union owned by our members," Roy said in a news release. "Additionally, Co-Op Network is a mainstay in an industry faced with continual consolidation, and I'm confident our organizations will help each other grow and prosper in future years."

DCU, founded in 1979 and located in Marlborough, Mass., has $2.2 billion in assets and is the largest credit union headquartered in New England. According to Callahan's Credit Union Directory, DCU is the fastest growing credit union in America during the last eight years.
