DAYTON, Ohio -NCR Corp. received two awards from the ATM Industry Association for ATM technology Feb. 16 in Orlando, Fla.
According to a news release, NCR's Intelligent Fraud Detection, a component of its holistic security offer, won ATMIA's ATM Security award. And the new Personas 71 "Deploy Anywhere" ATM led the pack in Best Hardware.
NCR's Personas ATMs and multivendor Aptra software are the most-often deployed financial self-service technology solutions worldwide.
NCR's IFD uses a set of algorithms to detect changes to the ATM that can occur with a variety of fraud activities, such as fraudulent devices that may be attached to the fascia of the ATM. Unlike other offers that may respond to a singular factor - such as card skimming -IFD prevents criminals from successfully copying or trapping the card, trying to use cameras to video a consumer's PIN or attempting to trap cash.
The Personas 71 was recognized at ATMIA for its ability to meet both indoor and outdoor deployment needs with its fully weatherized design features.
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
