NCR, techs reach agreement

Australian IT: An industrial relations skirmish in the technology sector appears to be over, with technicians at NCR Corp. voting to accept an enterprise agreement brokered between the company and the Australian Services Union. NCR said the new agreement is expected to take effect within the next two weeks. The NCR technicians, who service the company's ATMs for banks as well as computers for Dell and Apple, took action last month over a breakdown in pay negotiations.
