LAS VEGAS -- NCR unveiled the personaS70, a new range of scalable and drive-up ATMs, at Retail Delivery '98.
The new range of ATMs -- Lite, Classic and Max -- correspond to the needs of a typical ATM purchaser.
The Lite offers a low cost of ownership solution for users such as small retailers who want to offer consumers basic transactions.
The Classic suits traditional self-service outlets -- the type of owner who expects heavy usage from consumers and might want to offer other services such as on-screen advertising or account inquiries.
The Max is for ATM providers who want to offer consumers anything from stamps to deposits and discount coupons as well as cash and other banking services.
NCR also introduced its new portfolio of drive-up terminals at Retail Delivery '98. The range was designed after usability research and trials by NCR with major US banks.
The enhanced personaS88 drive-up terminal is suitable for either kiosk or through-the-wall installation and is offered alongside the personaS90 free-standing terminal. All models can offer services such as cash dispensing, account inquiries and statement printing, as well as dispense revenue-generating, non-cash items such as stamps or coupons.
