NCR names managing director for Gulf area

NCR Corp. has announced the appointment of Sherif El Shafie to the role of managing director for operations in the Gulf area.
According to a news release issued from the company, El Shafie, who will be based in Dubai, is taking over from Ahmad Qawasmeh, who worked with NCR for 20 years.
El Shafie has been with NCR for more than 18 years, serving in different roles and locations. His most recent NCR post was as the regional general manager of NCR Kuwait and Bahrain. El Shafie will now be in charge of one of the most important areas for NCR in the Middle East and Africa, the company says.
El Shafie holds a computer engineering degree from Ain Shams University of Cairo.
Stelios Fragkos, NCR's vice president for NCR Middle East/Africa says El Shafie's professionalism and wealth of knowledge will help NCR build its business:

NCR has been operating in the Gulf as a multinational company since 1960.
