NCR introduces new low-cost cash dispenser

March 21, 2002

DAYTON, Ohio -- NCR Corporation is now accepting orders for the LCD Cash Dispenser, a new mini ATM designed for retail locations whose traffic normally would not support more expensive machines. The new LCD's features include a full PC processor, a 2500-note dispenser upgradeable to two cassettes, 40 megabytes of memory for enhanced graphics and a seven-and-a-half-inch color screen. Additionally, the LCD will soon debut @TMLINK, a new Internet-enabled terminal management software. Prepackaged with the LCD, this new software delivers terminal management and graphics capabilities that give even a single ATM owner the ability to remotely track an ATM's status or download graphics or advertising files. "NCR sees the need for a simplified retail product -- from design to functionality -- for the ATM user and owner. The LCD is backed by the trusted NCR name and is offered at our lowest price point," said Neal Schwartz, vice president, ATM solutions for retail locations. The LCD joins the more robust MCD Cash Dispenser, NCR's first mini retail ATM. Both are targeted toward retailers looking to increase traffic and income, as well as financial institutions deploying off-site ATMs.
