LONDON -- National Australia Group (NAG), an international financial services organization operating in 15 countries, has ordered 200 of NCR's high-end Personas 86 ATMs for its UK banks. The first 75 machines are destined for Clydesdale branches, with branches in Yorkshire, Northern and National Irish slated to replace their existing ATMs with the new machines later this year.
Among the Personas 86 features: cash and check deposits, ticket dispensing, bill payment, loan approval and ordering of traveler's checks. The machines can also be used to load electronic cash onto smart cards. They have the ability to connect to the Internet and run full-motion video.
Danny O'Brien, vice president of NCR's Financial Solutions Group, said, "ATMs are well established in UK and the technology is trusted by customers. The Personas 86 gives customers even more choice and convenience."
John Wright, CEO for Clydesdale Bank, said, "We are delighted with our investment in this next generation. The Personas 86 is tremendous news for all our personal and small business customers -- it really is a breakthrough in banking, giving more choice and improved access."
