LAS VEGAS -- Kiosks.org Association Director Craig Keefner awarded his overall "Best of Show" award for last week's NACS Show in Las Vegas to NCR Corporation.
Keefner made special mention of NCR's EasyPoint 53, a machine that at just 24 inches high and 18 ½ inches wide and deep is designed to be deployed on a countertop, a pedestal or a wall mount. The ATM, NCR's most inexpensive, is designed for low-volume sites. It also boasts a Pentium processor, an unusual feature in a low-end machine.
Keefner also liked NCR's Personas 78, a high-end retail machine that can offer such advanced functions as check cashing, bill payment and money order issuance. Retail chain 7-Eleven has deployed 94 of the terminals in a pilot in Florida and Texas.
Keefner's other "Best of Show" awards included E-Gas Initiative and Apunix for "Technology," KIS for "Enclosures" and Elo TouchSystems for "Touch Technology."
