NCR buys RFID firm

Dayton Business Journal: NCR Corp. has acquired RFID provider IDVelocity LLC. The privately held Greensboro, N.C.-based provider of radio frequency identification infrastructure and software has 31 employees, all of whom are expected to be integrated into NCR's operations in Atlanta. IDVelocity collects data using RFID and other auto-ID transactions. Its technology supports NCR's Teradata warehouse, which allows users to track and evaluate supply chain movements.
