NCR Budapest factory achieves ATM production milestone

NCR Corp. has announced that the company's facility in Budapest has manufactured its 350,000th ATM within a span of 11 years.

The Budapest manufacturing facility is NCR's largest, according to a press release. The plant employs a staff of 750 and produces ATMs for markets that include Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

The facility also produces self-checkout and point-of-sale solutions for the retail and hospitality industries. To date, the Budapest plant has produced over 500,000 technology products, the company said.

"This landmark achievement of producing 350,000 ATMs is a result of our investments in a world-class facility, the untiring efforts of our team and the superior quality of products we bring to our customers across 100 countries," Zoli Kiss, senior director of operations at NCR Budapest, said in the release.
