Nautilus Hyosung has announced the opening of a second ATM manufacturing facility, according to a company press release.
"As a result of growth, a second ATM facility was needed to meet market demand," said Nautilus Hyosung President and CEO Andy Orent. According to the release, the company is the largest provider of ATMs to the U.S. market.
Shenzhen, China, is home to the new 243,000-square-foot facility. The company's original ATM manufacturing facility is located in Gumi, Korea; employees from that factory helped to set up the Shenzhen facility and have remained to ensure that Gumi quality standards are maintained, the release said.
ATMequipment.com Executive Vice President Spencer Matthews was among Hyosung customers who recently toured the new facility, and said he was impressed by it.
"We experienced firsthand the spacious, well-equipped, well-lit and clean production environment," he said. "It was clear to us that the staff takes tremendous pride in their work. ... The attention to detail and quality assurance was obvious. As a sign of our confidence, we have already committed to being the first to take receipt of ATMs coming from that facility."
"Shenzhen offers tremendous engineering capability and talent, which allows us to continually innovate and improve our technology," said Orent.
The location, which offers proximity to a shipping port, also makes the import of supplies and export of products convenient, the release said.
