Nationwide Money renews Food Lion contract; taps additional locations

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Nationwide Money Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Axcess Corporation, says it has renewed its original contract for an additional five years with Food Lion L.L.C., one of the largest supermarket chains in the U.S.

Nationwide Money currently provides the ATM equipment, processing, maintenance, monitoring and cash management services for 555 Food Lion locations.

Under the terms of the agreement, Nationwide has the exclusive right of first refusal to install, operate and maintain ATMs in the Food Lion locations. An additional 349 potential locations have already been selected under the contract renewal.

Mike Dodak, chief executive officer for Nationwide Money Services said, "We are pleased to announce our continued relationship with such an outstanding supermarket retailer and are committed to bringing the finest ATM services to Food Lion."

Food Lion LLC is a subsidiary of Delhaize America, the U.S. division of Brussels-based Delhaize Group (NYSE: DEG). Food Lion employs more than 86,000 associates and operates 1,200 stores in 11 Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
