NACHA names Mitchell to risk-management position

HERNDON, Va. - NACHA-The Electronic Payments Association has named Leslie Mitchell director of network risk policy. 
 
According to a news release, Mitchell will be responsible for managing the development and deployment of risk-management tools and policies for the Automated Clearing House Network. She also will work closely with NACHA's member financial institutions, regional payments associations and other industry organizations on payments system risk-management matters.
 
"The ACH Network is a safe and reliable payments system, and NACHA is devoting the necessary staff and resources to make sure it stays that way," said Elliott C. McEntee, NACHA's president and chief executive. "
 
Mitchell has been active with NACHA by serving on various industry groups and task forces, and speaking at NACHA events. Before joining NACHA, Leslie was manager of operational risk for the Risk Management Association. She also served six years with BITS and the Financial Services Roundtable as a senior director. In addition to her association experience, Mitchell completed the bank officer training program at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. and served as a lending officer at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
