Ayeyarwady Bank, the second largest FI in Myanmar, and CR2 have partnered to implement BankWorld, a self-service integrated platform for ATM, online banking and POS channels.
According to press release from CR2, banking penetration in the nation currently stands at just 5 percent but is rapidly accelerating. Formed in 2010, AYA Bank now operates 90 branches and 200 ATMs.
According to the release, CR2 BankWorld offers a truly omnichannel solution that allows the unification of self-service channels, and enables service delivery and client interaction across all electronic channels from a single point.
The platform facilitates customer segmentation, ensuring a personalized banking experience. It also allows the FI to launch new products quickly, and change its branding without the need for third-party vendors.
"We welcome AYA Bank as our first customer in Myanmar. This announcement follows other recent successful selections of BankWorld globally, which can be accounted for by the growing priority of banks to shift towards a digital and omnichannel-focused approach, while maintaining innovation."
CR2 is the leading global provider of innovative self-service banking solutions providing banks worldwide with robust and flexible ATM, Internet, Mobile, Kiosk and POS channels.
