M&T Bank, Cardtronics announce major expansion of ATM branding agreement

M&T Bank has expanded its existing agreement with Cardtronics to include M&T Bank-branded ATMs at 120 Speedway locations in New Jersey and New York.

A previous agreement between M&T and Cardtronics covers bank-branded ATMs at Speedway stores in Pennsylvania.

With installations now complete, M&T offers surcharge-free access to Cardtronics-owned and -operated ATMs at 55 stores in New Jersey; 65 on Long Island, New York; and 48 in Pennsylvania.

Earlier this year, M&T completed a major expansion of its retail branch network in the region with the rebranding of 135 branches acquired from the Hudson City Savings Bank.

The Hudson City acquisition adds 97 New Jersey branches to the network of Buffalo, New York-based M&T. In addition to New York and New Jersey, the FI operates banking offices in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.
