Morphis intros new armored carrier management software

November 17, 2003

DALLAS - Morphis, Inc., a software provider for the financial and armored carrier industries, says that Mount Vernon Money Center (MVMC), a New York-based ATM service provider for banks, credit unions and retail organizations, has installed Morphis' Armored Carrier Management software (MorphisACM) to manage all aspects of its armored operations and Morphis' Cash Management software (MorphisCM) to optimize cash inventories in its customers' ATMs.

"We recognized the need to bring automation to our operations and to provide our customers an unquestionable level of confidence that their funds are managed professionally and with every level of protection and maintenance imaginable," said Bob Egan, MVMC's president, in a news release. "Morphis' software provides what is necessary to separate us from our competitors."

Ken Karant, president of Morphis, said, "Bob (Egan) has the vision that automation of his business with an integrated software tool will separate him from the competition, making his company a market leader, not a follower, and strengthening relationships with his current and future customers."

According to the release, MorphisACM is an enterprise-wide solution to manage the complexities of cash replenishment for ATM networks.

The software provides functionality to manage each cash point for every customer, accept replenishment orders electronically, provide timely reporting of all replenishment/settlement activities, report on customers' cash balances at all locations in the replenishment chain, schedule work in the cash vaults based upon work load requirements, schedule routes, track all items using barcode technology, create customer billing, manage the fleet of vehicles, and maintain weapons inventory and control.

MorphisCM is an enterprise-wide solution to manage all aspects of operations of an ATM deployment by a financial or non-financial institution. It uses daily transaction data from the ATMs to analyze and optimize the cash needs between replenishments with the primary goal of eliminating cash-out situations and/or emergency runs by the carriers.

According to the release, MorphisCM users have reduced operating costs through lowering vault cash requirements and by optimizing the costs of replenishment schedules based on cash demand, cost of funds, the cost of replenishment trips and added productivity in the business.

Both products, MorphisACM and MorphisCM, may be integrated into a single software solution, eliminating redundant data.

Used together, they give an armored carrier a complete services offering for their customers, which may give customers an added incentive to outsource the operations of their ATM deployments to the carrier, Karant said.
