Microsoft, Marvell Technology, Utimaco intro banking payments security platform

Marvell Technology Inc., a data infrastructure company, has partnered with Microsoft and Utimaco to roll out the Azure Payment HSM v2, a payments security platform for banks and payment service providers, according to a press release.

"Combining best-in-class hardware, software and services to meet the performance, security and compliance demands of modern payment networks, the new solution will allow customers to scale their security capabilities without the cost and hassle of managing traditional dedicated payment infrastructure."

The solution combines the Utimaco Atalla payments module for mobile payments, PIN translation and card issuance, along with the Marvell LiquidSecurity HSM for cloud hardware security and Microsoft Azure.

"By offering this new solution as a service on Azure, we're removing the operational burden of managing payment-specific HSMs so our customers can focus on innovation," Soumya Subramanian, vice president of cloud security engineering at Microsoft, said in the release
